Mission Statement
To provide and maintain quality gourmet vegetable products that contains important nutritional qualities, are convenient and taste great.

Australian Eatwell has built an enviable reputation on the premise that healthy and fresh vegetable based foods are in demand. The Company is managed by Nathan Harris; a working director and Graeme Harris; Director (mob. 0419 547 897) who both live locally in Donald and who have a dedicated interest in the development of rural towns and country produced healthy foods. Other key staff and contractors include, Eleanor Grant - Finance Manager, Melissa Sellick - Office Administration, Andrew Hibberd - Production Superivsor, Daryn Milne - Leading Hand Pasteurised Packs & Soy Products, Bradley Guild - Leading Hand Production, Sam McEwen - Leading Hand Packing and Rod & Krista Lingham - Contract Food Technologists.

Australian Eatwell was established in 1990 in Cheltenham Victoria manufacturing vegetable burgers for the retail and food service industries. The acquisition of the company by the Harris Family in 1999 was with foresight that this continually growing market of combining a healthy, convenient product with great taste was in demand.

In April 2003 Australian Eatwell relocated to its new manufacturing facility 360km northwest of Melbourne to the rural township of Donald, Victoria which now employs 20 to 30 staff, some local farmers wives, which provides a second income and enables the farming family to survive.

The introduction of new products such as a range of fresh gourmet soup, vegetable bites, vegetable sausages & vegetable salami's. We have seen the company grow while still maintaining these important factors to our products.

Australian Eatwell and Simply Better products are distributed nationally in Australia and can be found in health food stores, major supermarket chains; Coles, Woolworths & Safeway, cafes, restaurants, catering companies and hospitals. All our products do not contain any meat with the majority dairy free they conform to many dietary and cultural requirements.

Our ongoing research and development of providing new products to customers that require quality, healthy food that tastes good at an affordable price.

Australian Eatwell is about to produce a vegetarian mince to substitue for the meat mince and will be available from Health Food Stores, Coles and Safway & Woolworths Supermarkets in the near future.

Simply Better Range

Over the last five years, Australian Eatwell contract manufactured the Simply Better range of organic products. The Simply Better range is a dairy free product for lactose intolerant people and is also available for eating as a health food for families. Australian Eatwell purchased the Simply Better brand in 2009, products include a Soycheese range of Chives, Omega3, Probiotic, Garden Herbs, Black Pepper and Mild. The Simply Better range of Organic Tofu is available in three different block sizes, being 250g, 375g and 500g. We also have an Organic Hakea Tofu available in a 375g block. These products from the Simply Better brand are now owned and produced by Australian Eatwell in the Victorian country town of Donald; an all Australian owned company produced in country Victoria.

Organic Certification

The Australian Eatwell factory producing the Simply Better range of organic foods is a fully certified organic processor (no. 10881P) with certified facilities and products. These products include Australian Eatwell range of Organic Vegie Burgers and Organic Soup and the Simply Better range of Organic Tofu and Organic Hakea Tofu. These products have been produced in accordance with the Biological Farmers of Australia Organic Standard.
